Our Story
Kasha Dubinska, Bachelor of Science

Kasha Dubinska
Bachelor of Science, Major in Chemistry (Honors), University of Sydney (Medicine Australia Accredited)

Kasha's love of chemistry started at school, where anything to do with chemicals was of great fascination to her.  After completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at the University of Sydney, Kasha then spent an extra year for a special project study, resulting in Honors.

Kasha worked in London for many years before traveling through Europe and Africa, working in kitchens all over the world. Kasha spent 5 years in Japan studying the Japanese language, cooking and the culture of Japan.

Kasha has always been interested in cooking and health. From her worldwide experience in cooking, combined with the many courses she has undertaken, Kasha has a built a vast knowledge of preparing healthy and interesting cuisine.

Kasha’s first child, Olivia, was born in 2006. This life changing event was the stimulus for Kasha to focus her energies on cooking and nutrition for babies. After much research, discussion with health professionals and her friends, Kasha realised how many myths were around about starting babies on solids and the difficulty in finding the right advice.

To help other mums in her situation, Kasha produced her own video. With the advice of a qualified nutritionist and her friends, Kasha produced a DVD, “Yummy Beginnings”.

The DVD explores the anxieties parents feel when starting their babies on solids, and provides guidelines, recipes and ideas to help. The DVD is aimed at parents of babies at 3 to 9 months of age. The DVD has credibility from the endorsement and guidance of a nutritionist, and anecdotes from new mums to help address the problems and difficulties faced by other parents at this stage of their babies’ development. Overall, the DVD is aimed at giving new mums another means of support at a difficult time.

The DVD may be watched while breastfeeding or while preparing a meal and it clearly illustrates the methods used, in 30 minutes.
